View Talk Updates

Talk flags the latest activity to highlight any recent unread posts and messages.

When there are new group posts or comments, the number of updates displays by the group name. If there are new messages in a chat, the number of updates displays next to the chat. In some cases, a colored circle displays on a tab or menu, indicating unread updates.

The Updates panel collects the latest updates to feed groups and posts in one place. Recent updates include those added today and any older updates you may have missed.

To see updates from Talk mobile

  1. Tap at the top-right of any screen. The Updates panel opens and loads an overview of Today's Updates and recent Past Updates.
  2. Scroll the panel to see all available updates.
  3. Do the following as needed:
    • Tap an update to open the item in the feed.
    • Tap Load More Updates to load additional updates.
    • To remove the unread status for specific updates:
      1. Tap the more menu and select Select Unread.
      2. Select one or more updates and tap Mark as Read.
    • To remove the unread status for all updates, tap the more menu and select Mark All as Read.

To see updates from the Talk desktop

  1. Click at the top-right of any page. The Updates panel opens and loads overviews of Today's Updates, Yesterday's Updates, and any recent Past Updates.
  2. Scroll the panel to see all available updates.
  3. Do the following as needed:
    • Click an update to open the item in the feed.
    • Click Load More Updates to load additional updates.
    • To remove the unread status for specific updates:
      1. Click the more menu and select Select Unread.
      2. Select one or more updates and click Mark as Read.
    • To remove the unread status for all updates, at the top of the panel click the more menu and select Mark all as Read.
