Schedule batch events

Steps for scheduling batch events.

Use the Event Manager to schedule batch events.

  1. Select Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Batch Processing > Batch Events tab.
  2. Select the batch event and click Schedule. Event Manager opens.
  3. For notification when the event runs, in Event Output do one of the following:
    • Select a Printer.
    • Select Email. Enter an email address.
  4. In Event Schedule, do the following:
    1. Schedule Type— Frequency to run the batch event. Select Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly, Once, or Now.
      Note: If you select Monthly or Weekly, additional fields display so you can define more detailed information.
    2. Start Date, Start Time, End Date, and End Time— Duration of the batch event schedule. Select Forever to run the batch event indefinitely.
  5. Click Save.

The Batch Job List provides a list of batch tasks with statuses and selection options.

  • Schedule Builder - The Shift Builder batch event creates schedules into the future for employees who are assigned shift patterns. It is a default system event that is scheduled to run once a week, with no end date.

  • Schedule Builder Result Cleanup - The Schedule Builder Result Cleanup cleans up Schedule Builder results from the database table.

Predefined tasks

Predefined tasks that can be scheduled on the Event Manager:

  • Schedule Builder - The Schedule Builder in the batch batch event creates schedules into the future for employees who are assigned shift patterns. It is a default system event that is scheduled to run once a week, with no end date.
